Breed Showing

So, my first ever attempt at breed showing so I asked a friend who already shows his dog, to take Swift into the ring for me at Birtley Dog Show on 3rd April 2016.  Funny how nervous I was watching my little girl, hoping that she would behave.  I couldn’t have asked for better from her.  At 8 months old she behaved amazingly.  She was quiet, calm and in my very inexperienced opinion, looked like she was a pro.   We didn’t win as we were up against an amazingly beautiful and well handled dog in our breed, however we did come away with a rosette for best pastoral puppy.  Our first write up in Our Dog’s newspaper ‘first time this bitch was handled by this handler, so well done handler did everything that was asked.  Not the maturity of the 1st and looks a lot younger, stood and showed well.  She has a good dark eyes and nice bite.  Pleasing front, I loved her front legs, one white and the other fawn.  Just a bit longer in the back with pleasing angles to rear and neat hocks’.  I was a proud puppy mum 🙂
